After hours includes: After 6pm weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

We have decided to temporarily cease offering repeat scripts and referrals via the website. We ask that you arrange a Telehealth consult instead; so that we can provide you with a more comprehensive service during the Covid-19 pandemic.

As of the 1st of July 2019, The Surrey Hills Medical Centre ceased bulk billing.

Since the Medicare rebate freeze in 2013 we have tried to keep patient out-of-pocket expenses to a minimum.

Medicare rebates still fail to reflect the costs involved in providing quality health care.

For patients on a concession/pension card or under the age of 16 years (Between 10am – 4pm), reduced fees will apply.

Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash or card.

To make the Medicare claiming process easier for our patients we have installed Integrated Easyclaim Tyro terminals at reception.

You simply swipe your debit or EFTPOS card through the Tyro terminal, select your account and enter your PIN. The Medicare rebate will then be deposited into your bank account in just 9 seconds.

Surrey Hills Medical Centre no longer directly invoices to Work Safe Insurance Companies, employers or TAC for your treatment.

You will be asked to settle your account at the time of your treatment.

You should be aware that the cost of treatment may be in excess of the amount Work Safe or TAC reimburse.

If you have any questions or would like more information about this policy please talk to one of our reception staff.

Please notify reception or your doctor if you have had a surgical procedure recently as this can affect Medicare claiming.
